Warning Signs: Because "Oops" Isn't a Safety Strategy

What is a Warning Sign?

In the world of ISO 7010, a warning sign is your first line of defence against accidents. It tells you there is a hazard nearby that could hurt you.

The Rules (So you don't have to guess):

  • Shape: Triangle.
  • Colour: Yellow background, black band, black symbol.
  • Meaning: "Caution," "Risk of," or "Danger."

Common Hazards We Cover:

  • Electrical: "High Voltage" (The one that zaps).
  • Chemical: "Corrosive" or "Toxic" (The ones that burn).
  • General: "Trip Hazard" (The one that embarrasses you).

Material Advice:

If this is for an outdoor electrical box, choose Self-Adhesive Vinyl. It sticks tight and won't rot. For a post, grab Rigid Plastic or Aluminium Composite.
