Fire Safety Signs
Why are Fire Safety Signs essential?
We all hope never to need these in a real emergency, but if that moment comes, they need to be clear, compliant, and exactly where you expect them to be.
That's why we don't just print signs; we manufacture life-saving instructions.
The Legal Stuff (Made Simple)
Do I need fire signs? Yes. Under the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005, if you have business premises, you must mark emergency routes and exits based on a Fire Risk Assessment (FRA) conducted by a competent person.
The Viking Colour Code Guide (BS EN ISO 7010)
-
GREEN (Safe Condition): "Go this way." Used for Fire Exits, Assembly Points, and First Aid.
-
RED (Fire Equipment): "How to fight the fire or raise the alarm" Used for Extinguishers, Call Points, and Hoses.
-
BLUE (Mandatory): "Do this." Used on Fire Action Notices (e.g., "Close Fire Door").
Photoluminescent (Glow in the Dark): It’s Not Just for Toys
When the lights go out during an emergency, standard vinyl is invisible. That is why we champion Photoluminescent (Glow in the dark) materials.
How it works: Our signs soak up ambient light (artificial or natural) during the day and emit a strong green glow when the power cuts.
- PSPA Class C: High performance. Glows brighter and lasts longer than standard "novelty" glow materials.
- Why upgrade? Because in a smoke-filled corridor, a glowing running man is the best friend you have.
